Theo Gets Healthy

Stories

Overview

Theo's Story

I had the privilege of working with Theo, and his transformation has been incredible. When we first started, he was motivated but struggled with consistency and understanding the role of nutrition. Over time, Theo developed the discipline needed for long-term success, going from 200 pounds to 190, and building impressive strength. Seeing him now—lifting more than he ever thought possible—is a true testament to his hard work and dedication.

When I first started working out with Rod I was excited to transform my body into something that I really wanted! The first couple weeks I got used to the idea of training at a set time every other day, and something that was helping was the “newbie gains”. Then once Rod started to talk to me about nutrition I started to get discouraged and that carried on to my training; I was starting to not look forward to working out after school and I wasn’t happy that I wasn’t seeing results right away.

Towards the end of the time that Rod was training me I started to understand that you shouldn’t workout when you have the motivation, you should workout because you have discipline. Now here I am a year and a half later working out in my own with the important things that Rod has taught me. And when I have a question he never fails to answer and educate me about nutrition or the form of a lift.

I would not be where I am today without  Rods help. When I started I was a 5’4″ 200lbs kid who could barely do 10 pushups, now I’m a 5’9″ 190 kid who can squat, deadlift, and bench more than I could have ever thought of.

Theo’s health goals are focused on building strength, improving overall fitness, and maintaining a healthy weight. Unique Challenges

Theo faced several challenges on his health journey, including initial discouragement from not seeing immediate results and difficulty staying motivated. He also struggled with adjusting to a disciplined workout routine and understanding the importance of nutrition. Despite these setbacks, Theo learned to prioritize discipline over motivation and pushed through to achieve his fitness goals.
